Kristina and I are deeply intertwined in local community service. In 2024, we were jointly honored with the Azalea Award at the McKinleyville Chamber of Commerce's annual Member's Choice Awards, and we served as Grand Marshals of McKinleyville's Pony Express Parade.

Elected in November 2020. In 2024, the incumbents ran unopposed, and I was re-appointed to a second consecutive term running through December 2028. I work with the general manager and residents to ensure responsible growth, fiscal transparency, and sound management of local utility and parks infrastructure.

MCSD Recreation Advisory Committee
I joined the committee in 2019 and served one year as vice-chair. Since my election to the MCSD Board in 2020, I've continued on the committee as the board's liaison, advising the district on park management, recreational infrastructure projects, and the development of public community spaces.

I fill the seat reserved for an MCSD Board member, gathering public input on county services, including public works, health and safety, and advising the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors on local initiatives like the Town Center Master Plan.

McKinleyville Union School District Measure N Citizen's Oversight Committee
I lead the independent public watchdog committee that monitors the fiscal management, spending transparency and project tracking of Measure N, the $18.5 million school infrastructure bond McKinleyville voters approved in November 2024 for our elementary and middle schools.

Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA), Region 1
ACWA is the statewide association of public water agencies, with more than 450 member agencies that together supply about 90% of the water delivered to California's cities, farms and businesses. It helps its members provide reliable, high-quality water at reasonable cost while protecting the environment. Region 1 covers the North Coast, and I'm an active member of its Communication Committee, representing our district's interests at the regional level.

I direct the center's operations, oversee program development, and coordinate our volunteers to enrich resources for the area's seniors.

A grassroots community beautification effort. I organize volunteer cleanups every other month to remove illegal dumping, pick up roadside litter, and clear graffiti.
